Grood Music

Grood Music is a Chicago-based electronic rock band. Founding members Kasey Foster and Charlie Otto met when they worked at the legendary rock venue Martyrs’. Charlie was the lead singer of a brand new Talking Heads tribute act named This Must be the Band, and he was considering Kasey as a backup singer.

That’s about the time they fell in love and started spending every second together, and all the music that Charlie was writing started to include Kasey in one way or another.
They started an original band named Savvy, but soon realized another very popular band already had that name, so changed to Grood, which is the accidental verbal combination of Good and Great.
After a lot of personnel changes, they eventually settled on the lineup of Alan Maniacek on drums, Matt Gunsaulus on keys, and Patrick Dinnen on bass, and put out three albums.
After that, the music Charlie writes all comes out under his own name, and lately his solo project has been called “charlie otto¬†+ his gear.”
